This is the limited four-issue series of Firestar who originally appeared in the Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends animated series. It's a prequel which depicts events before and after Firestar's first in-continuity appearance in Uncanny X-Men #193. This mini-series sets a much darker approach than ... the animated series which tells the story of her sad upbringing and how she first discovers her mutant powers. The X-Men is suppose to recruit her into the Institute but they were too late when Emma Frost (aka The White Queen) got to her first. more
